Phosphorus is the eleventh most abundant element on earth, and it is indispensable for the survival of all living things. Human beings need calcium phosphate for the formation of strong bones and teeth. All animals need phosphorus for metabolism, while plants need it for photosynthesis. In addition, the two phosphorus compounds ADP and ATP are indispensable for the human body’s system for energy metabolism.
We use yellow phosphorus taken from phosphate rocks for industrial purposes. Because yellow phosphorus is a dangerous material to handle, its processing requires great care. Our wealth of experience and high level of expertise make it possible for us to manufacture our products safely.
RINKAGAKU KOGYO CO., LTD. was founded in 1926 as a manufacturer of yellow phosphorus, red phosphorus and phosphorus sulfide, all of which were used in the manufacture of matches, which required a great deal of electric power. Since its foundation, the company has developed and branched out into manufacturing various kinds of phosphorus products. We are now manufacturing the excellent phosphorus products described below, using imported yellow phosphorus (P4). Our main products are phosphoric acid, phosphate, red-phosphorus flame retardant additives, and the agents for metal processing and water treatment.

We acquired the ISO 9001 certificate for quality control in 1997, and the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental conservation in 2003. We have been earnestly engaged in improving quality and contributing to a better environment. We aim to develop more environment-friendly technologies and further improve product quality.
